John R. Nafzinger

Spending time with his wife Ruth, his family, kids, and grandkids. Entertaining at holidays. Often with a video camera in hand. A good day for John usually meant time outdoors and with his hands busy. He looked after the dogs, tended the garden, and kept the grass and lawn in good shape. He enjoyed woodworking and working on cars, and he liked taking his grandkids to the range. He also loved getting out on his Honda motorcycle for road trips, including one memorable solo ride to Pikes Peak in Colorado, where he took lots of photos. Summers often meant vacations and road trips to visit family and friends, and trips to Silver Dollar City. Taking care of and visiting his parents.

On their summer road trips, John and Ruth enjoyed entertaining the kids and exploring new areas together. On one memorable trip, they drove from Hutchinson to Knoxville, up to Washington, D.C., then on to Lansing, Michigan, before heading back home. Along the way they saw the sights in D.C. and visited John’s grandmother as well as Ruth’s siblings and family in Knoxville and Lansing.
